Music is a language that expresses feelings in a way that standard words could not. Music was discovered a long time ago, and many genres have emerged since then. Some musicians prefer to work alone while others see it better fitting to work as a group. Either way, so many great tracks have been produced due to the professionals’ hard work. Some bands were so good that it is impossible to overlook their work. Here are some of the world’s greatest Scottish bands and musicians of all time.
Capercaillie
Although people have different tastes in music, Capercaillie has managed to steal the hearts of so many fans. The band was founded in 1984, and even though the members of the group changed at some point, their music is still good. The band mostly focuses on traditional tunes and folk music. How the members manage to integrate classic lyrics with modern equipment is quite impressive. Although the words have remained the same, the music keeps getting better and better.
Old Blind Dogs
The six-membered band is well known not only in Scotland but also in various parts of the world too. Three members initiated the group back in 1990, and the musicians have been blessing the world with their incredible music ever since. The musicians have focused on reinventing Celtic music by transforming it into more modern genres such as jazz, rock, reggae and blues. Just like Capercaillie, members of the Old Blind Dogs have also changed over the decades.
Manran
Compared to the other bands, Manran is quite recent. The group was formed in 2010 and has scooped several awards since then. The musicians have travelled to over thirty countries to perform songs to their beloved fans. The band’s breakthrough happened in 2011 after they released a single that flew right to the top ten of the UK Indie Chart. After that, the band’s career took off, and they have been successful.
